2014/2015 Miss Fort Discovery winner announced!
Stephanie Reed, 26, of Sequim was the finalist. In early 2014, Fort Discovery embarked on the idea of a Miss Fort Discovery competition. On Aug. 3, the one-day Miss Fort Discovery challenge included physical agility, shooting, a written exam, interview, and a survival test. At the end of the day, Stephanie finished with the top overall score from the challenge. She is a Sequim High School graduate who enjoys the outdoors, which includes riding horses, shooting trap, competitive pistol, hiking and fishing for king salmon in La Push. She completed her nursing degree at Peninsula College and currently works as a full-time RN for the Jamestown Family Health Clinic.
As Miss Fort Discovery, Stephanie will educate customers about Fort Discovery products and services.
She will be crowned Miss Fort Discovery Saturday, August 23, during Fort Discovery’s Unity of Effort annual picnic. Come down and meet Miss Fort Discovery and get an autographed photo!
