Getting ready for the Unity of Effort

Efforts are underway to prepare Fort Discovery for our annual Unity of Effort celebration. We are busy working on our new 90-foot flagpole. Our "Rally Point" marker arrived and will be installed within the next couple of weeks. It was created by Macadam Bronze and Aluminum, based in Portland, Oregon.

The Unity of Effort is a fun event for the entire family. It is our annual celebration dedicated to the men and women who protect our communities and nation. Personnel from military, law enforcement, and fire department bring vehicles, equipment and more for the public to view. Enjoy good food, musical performances, children’s activities and more! Also be sure to be there for the crowning of our first Miss Fort Discovery!

Groups are still confirming attendance. Recent confirmed attendees include Port Angeles Police, Port Orchard Police, Seattle FBI Evidence Response Team, WCJTC, Washington Army National Guard, JeffCom 911, Washington State Patrol, Washington State Parks, US Air Force EOD – just to name a few!

The Unity of Effort takes place Aug. 23 from 10 am to 6 pm at Fort Discovery. To RSVP, email Jennifer at jen@ssnwHQ.com or call 877-876-4750.
